A Young Man Receives A "Driving Under The Influence" Arrest And Makes Up His Mind To Hire A "Drunk Driving" Lawyer
Even though Franklin wasn't an attorney, he told his son that he learned the hard way when as a young man he received a "driving under the influence" arrest, represented himself in the local court, paid twenty-five hundred dollars in penalties and fines, and served 90 days in the county jail. As he mentioned to his son, after he got out of jail, he found out from a lawyer friend that if he would have hired a "drunk driving" attorney in the first place, he probably would have had his fines and penalties significantly reduced and he might have never served any time in jail.
When Lawrence heard this he knew he needed more DUI facts and so he asked his dad for additional information about what a "drunk driving" attorney can do in a "driving under the influence" arrest. His father then stated the following: "If you have been charged with DUI you need a lawyer who will aggressively represent your legal rights through the complexities involved in a DUI case. DUI attorneys will be able to assist you every step of the way through the criminal process and help you find the answers you need."
When Lawrence heard his father explain this, it was as if his eyes were opened for the first time about the relevance of hiring a DUI lawyer. Near the end of their conversation, Lawrence said that he was beginning to grasp the importance of "driving under the influence" laws and what "drunk driving" lawyers can do for an individual who has received a "drunk driving" arrest.
After getting "educated" about "driving under the influence" arrests, the role of DWI attorneys, and understanding that he didn't have to agree to take any field sobriety tests at the time of his arrest, Lawrence decided that he would without a doubt hire a "drunk driving" attorney to represent him in the local court. Something else, however, took place after he had talked to his dad. Lawrence at last started to understand the critical nature of DUI arrests and, as a result, he arrived at a decision that from this moment forward, he would always drink responsibly so that he would never again have to experience another "driving under the influence" arrest.
His father smiled at Lawrence and told him the following: "Lawrence,it took me until I was forty years old to realize what you just told me. I am really proud of you." This did wonders for his self esteem and so Lawrence thanked his father and then said, "if I can always drink responsibly, I will never have to hire a drunk driving attorney again!"
Regrettably, there was one issue that neither Lawrence nor his father considered, namely, if Lawrence is exhibiting any alcohol abuse signs or maybe if he is exhibiting any of the common signs of alcoholism. In truth, if Lawrence is manifesting any alcohol signs that indicate alcohol addiction or alcohol abuse, he will probably need alcohol rehabilitation.
Indeed, Lawrence may be mandated by the court to get rehab for his careless drinking. The good news, however, is that whatever it takes to deal with his excessive and unhealthy drinking, it seems like Lawrence will be highly motivated to do the "right" thing.
