The Requirement Of A A Polish Translator Who Can Translate English
Last week I traveled to Poland from England. Being an Englishman I obviously am not familiar with the Polish language, consequently I faced a lot of issues for this reason. I wanted somebody who could have translated the language, i.e. I wanted a translator Polish to English, however I was helpless to locate one.
The problems began from day one of my visit. The accommodation I was lodging in surprisingly did not have any decent English speaking attendants. Just a supervisor managed to converse with me. From the door keeper to the waiter, everyone Polish! Annoyed I made a decision to take a stroll around the hotel. While wandering, I stumbled onto a Flower dealer - gorgeous daffodils and cute roses packed her flower bouquet.
I asked her about the price of one flower bunch but this lady simply kept looking at me for 5 minutes. Having already gotten used to the treatment I chose to find a young boy who could translate Polish to English. Yet as I mentioned I searched, but could not locate one. The vacation therefore had this sort of problems all the while.
Fortunately my job was not of speaking with the Polish people very much, therefore I was able to focus on my work. Sometimes such events happened to amuse me, that people are so unwilling to learn the international language. You may say that was real patriotism, but in the search of real patriotism they lost some foreign currency that could have had certain influence on the overall economy!
But I was also ignorant to go into a foreign language country not knowing anything regarding them. Now that I have came back, I am learning the Polish language - at some level. Lastly as they say in Polish - pozegnanie. (I made use of a translation Polish to English software for the last statement)
